1. ABOUT THE JOB
The Project Estate Surveyor and Valuer plays a vital role in managing and developing the bank’s real estate portfolio. The successful candidate will oversee feasibility studies, coordinate real estate developments, and ensure effective asset utilization. 2. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Project Estate Surveyor and Valuer, your duties include conducting detailed feasibility and viability studies for all real estate projects undertaken by the bank and its subsidiaries. You will coordinate the execution of both major and minor real estate projects, ensuring full compliance with policies and international best practices. You will also work closely with facility managers to maintain and upgrade office buildings, housing estates, and related infrastructures. The role involves developing and managing site and service schemes under special projects to meet the expectations of investors, buyers, and tenants.
You will participate in the evaluation and selection of joint venture partners while managing consultant estate surveyors and valuers. You will also oversee property lease management, valuation verification, asset disposal, and sales strategies aimed at optimizing value. Managing dispute resolution processes and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory agencies are part of your responsibilities. The role requires adopting sustainable, energy-efficient, and cost-effective construction methods to ensure eco-friendly project delivery. Staying updated with market trends, valuation standards, and building codes is necessary to keep the bank’s property assets competitive and compliant. Finally, you will prepare detailed valuation reports, project proposals, and performance analyses for management review.
3. EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess at least an HND OR FIRST DEGREE IN ESTATE MANAGEMENT. Professional certification or membership in recognized bodies such as NIESV or ESVARBON will be an added advantage. A postgraduate degree or professional qualification in property management, real estate investment, or project management is also desirable.
A RELEVANT EXPERIENCE is required in estate surveying, valuation, project management, or property development. Candidates must demonstrate a proven record of managing high-value commercial and residential properties. Experience in corporate environments, financial institutions, or consultancy firms will be an advantage.
4. SKILLS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
Applicants must demonstrate strong analytical and valuation skills, the ability to conduct in-depth market research and feasibility studies, and excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
