🧾 Job Description & Key Responsibilities
As a Cluster Control Officer, you’ll work closely with the Cluster Control Manager to ensure proper internal checks are in place across multiple branches.
Your key duties will include:
✅ Conducting maiden visits to new branches to assess control environments.
✅ Reviewing IT control reports, credit activities, and branch operations daily.
✅ Investigating fraudulent or unusual incidents in collaboration with senior control officers.
✅ Preparing and submitting monthly control and exception reports promptly.
✅ Ensuring all policy or procedural breaches are documented and followed up for closure.
✅ Escalating unresolved exceptions to management and supporting closure efforts.
✅ Providing advisory support to branch managers to enhance control processes.
✅ Maintaining confidentiality and compliance with information security standards.
This role offers exposure to various departments and opportunities to grow into senior audit or compliance positions within the bank.
🎓 Required Qualifications
Education:
🎓 A First Degree (minimum) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other numerate disciplines.
Experience:
💼 At least 1 year of experience in Internal Control, Audit, or Risk Management functions — preferably within a financial institution.
